A few weeks ago our CEO and Founder, Jesse Lindsley, virtually sat down in the Tech Square ATL Spotlight to discuss education technology and his journey in the game development industry.

What an exciting moment for the Thrust team. This October, Thrust won the Judge’s Choice for Best Tech Work Culture at the Timmy Awards, hosted by Atlanta Tech Village and Tech in Motion. Representing Thrust, we had Adrian from Design, Cody from Development, and myself (Taylor) from Marketing. The Timmy Awards aim to celebrate regional tech communities and individuals paving the way for tech professionals.

This past weekend, Thrust team members, Adrian, Taylor, and Shaunak attended the third annual SCAD Animation Fest held by SCADshow in the heart of Midtown! The festival introduces students (and art nuts like us) to the cutting edge of art, animation, and storytelling with presenters from all over the industry like Pixar Animation Studios, Google Creative Lab, and DreamWorks Animation!

Where does “We Believe in the MAGIC of Game Science” come from?

Before we tell-all regarding Game Science, we must first chat gamification. Gamification (for those of you who aren’t nerds at heart like we are) is basically incorporating game elements (i.e. leveling up, leaderboards, and achievements) into non-game environments (i.e. the workplace, education, healthcare).

We had the pleasure of working with five Georgia Tech students – Shan, Stockton, Justin, Anne and Jack – this spring semester through the Consult Your Community (CYC) program. The Georgia Tech chapter of CYC provides small business owners in the Atlanta area – that’s us! – with the necessary resources and recommendations in marketing, finance, accounting, technology, and operations to help revitalize, strengthen, and grow their business.

Hey there! My name is Anna, and I’m the Producer and Project Manager here at Thrust. I’m thrilled to share with you all the amazing opportunity I had to travel to Egypt with my mother and grandfather – it was an unforgettable experience.
