Ignite Engine

Thrust has constructed a world-class multi-threaded Game Engine capable of handling tens of thousands of concurrent players. The extremely scalable solution can be deployed across multiple servers worldwide. The gaming experience can reside in multiple locations, while the game player perceives a single, large community. As demand grows, hardware may be added without a software re-configuration, or interruption, of service.

The Ignite Engine is the server component that allows for distributed games to talk to one or more centralized servers. The feature stack is well suited for multiplayer gaming, casino games, and virtual worlds. The Ignite Engine is a client technology neutral solution, offering support for communication with Adobe Flash and Flex, Unity 3D, HTML5 WebSockets, Java, C#, iPhone and iTouch, Android, JSON, and other client-side implementations.

Thrust is currently working on its own game, Thrust Tactics, that will serve as an example of the capabilities of the Ignite Engine.  The goal is to release the Ignite Engine as a free, open source resource to all developers.
